Safety. More than just a catchphrase.
Our determined efforts to improve the safety of our aircraft can benefit our customers in a variety of ways, not the least of which are favorable insurance premiums and low costs of ownership. But perhaps the biggest payoff is the confidence and comfort level that you as a Cessna pilot will rightly feel when you take to the skies. Whether its a hop around the patch with one of your kids, a weekend away with your spouse, or a fly-in breakfast at a nearby airstrip, Cessnas 80-plus year legacy of safety is with you all the way.
Nice and easy.
The Skycatcher wing incorporates a custom designed airfoil for a smooth ride. The wing structure uses a two spar design with a strut that attaches to the forward spar. Slotted flaps are used to further lower the stall speed.
Safer by definition.
The FAA has defined light-sport aircraft as simple-to-operate and easy-to-fly. That has been the mantra since the very beginning. You can rest assured that the Skycatcher will meet all ASTM Consensus Standards. In fact, we will exceed them as Cessna plans to conduct full fatigue testing on the Skycatcher, above and beyond ASTM standards. It is what we do to keep your flying experience a safe and enjoyable one.
Engineered for success.
To make your landings as smooth as your takeoffs, the Skycatchers main landing gear uses high-strength, tapered steel tubes to provide shock absorption, whether your touchdown is on improved or unimproved runways.
