Wycombe Air Centre is open 7 days a week, nearly 365 days per year though we do close for Christmas Day and Boxing Day!

NB. Summer begins when the clocks spring forward and ends when they fall back. On the longer days, the airfield will initially close at sunset until the sunset time is after 2000 hours at which point it closes at 2000. (Clear as mud? Good!)

GETTING HERE

By Air:

Wycombe Air Park is located 2.5nm south west of High Wycombe

BNN 113.75 237 11.8

PPR at Wycombe Air Park is essential due to strict noise abatement procedures in force and the high traffic level experienced of aircraft, helicopters and gliders under tow.

By Public Transport:

The nearest rail stations are:

High Wycombe (Chiltern Line from London Marylebone / Birmingham)
Maidenhead (from London Paddington / West Country)

The nearest Underground station is:

Amersham (Metropolitan Line)

From these stations, the easiest option would be to then take a taxi to Wycombe Air Park. Travel times from the station to here are approximately:

High Wycombe: 10-15 minutes
Maidenhead: 20-25 minutes
Amersham: 30-35 minutes

Arriva run a regular bus service past the airfield (No 32) which can be picked up at the Eden bus garage in High Wycombe town centre. This is a 10-15 minute walk from High Wycombe train station.

By Car:

M40 junction 4 (High Wycombe)
At 3rd roundabout turn left (signposted Wycombe Air Park / Lane End)
Keep driving: you will cross back over the M40
The airfield is then situated on the right hand side about 0.4 mile after the M40 bridge
On entering the airfield follow the signs for RVP which will take you to the main car park

Please note that, if you have entered our postcode (SL7 3DR) into a sat nav, it may take you to the Territorial Army Centre which is located adjacent to the airfield but with no access! If you find yourself at the TA centre, please go back to the main road, turn right and the airfield is the next turning on the right.

At the Airfield:

Wycombe Air Centre is located on the apron behind the parked aircraft. You will need to walk across the active apron to approach our building, so please take care and keep children under close supervision. There are lots of strange noises at airfields and you may not be aware of aircraft getting close to you. Remember that aircraft propellers are invisible when they are turning and so pose a serious hazard to those not paying attention!
